Native American Lore

September 26, 2009

We just contracted with Feather-Wolf, a Zuni descendant, to write a 3-volume series on Native American lore, filled with the myths and legends of many Indian tribes. These books offer a look into their spiritual nature and way of life as well as sharing stories, such as the creation myths, inherent within their cultures.

We’re very excited about publishing this multi-volume series. We plan to release Book One in August. Book Two will follow in October. Book Three will be released      in February 2012.

Looking for Authors

September 21, 2009

We plan to launch Pueblo Publishing in July, 2011 with a list of cookbooks featuring the foods and flavors of Texas and New Mexico. We’ll be expanding from there into both fiction and nonfiction. We’re looking for more cookbooks and books about life in the Southwest. We’re especially interested in receiving proposals for books about Southwest shamanism, Native American arts and crafts (such as weaving and dream catchers), myths and legends from the Land        of Enchantment, and tall tales (true or untrue) from Texas.

bluebookBook Proposals Wanted–If you’re writing a book that you think will be a good fit for our list, please read our submission guidelines. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.

Chili… A Bowl of Red

September 10, 2009

Texas is credited with bringing chili to the world, from the cowboys on cattle drives who ate chili on the trail to the Chili Queens of San Antonio. What better way to showcase the first cookbook on our list than to offer you a bowl of red?

We’ll be publishing Chili… A Bowl of Red in May—a bit ahead of schedule—just in time for the Return of the Chili Queens festival—before we officially launch Pueblo Publishing on July 1st.
